This year, Artcurial celebrates the 5th edition of Monaco Sculptures, in collaboration with the Société des Bains de Mer. The exhibition, which opened in April, features a captivating selection of contemporary artworks, with remarkable pieces from collections around the world.
This year’s highlights include Patrice Trigano’s sculpture collection.
Works by César, Arman, Philippe Hiquily, Allen Jones, Berto Lardera and Salvador Dalí bear witness to the career of this art enthusiast. A spectacular Grand Lasso by Jean-Michel Othoniel, from a French collection, also promises to attract the attention of discerning collectors. From a Swiss collection, two great American sculptors, Tony Smith and George Rickey, will also be in the spotlight.
The range of artists featured in the exhibition is vast, and includes major sculptors such as Germaine Richier and André Masson, as well as Bernar Venet, Manolo Valdés, Parvine Curie and works by Victor Vasarely from the Château de Vascoeuil.
The works of art in Monaco Sculptures are brought together in the form of an itinerant route around the institutions of the Société des Bains de Mer de Monte-Carlo: Hôtel de Paris, Hôtel Hermitage, Square Beaumarchais, Monte-Carlo Beach Club, Jardins de la Petite Afrique, Jardin des Spélugues, Jardin Saint James (open all day).
As part of Monaco Auction Week, at the emblematic Hôtel Hermitage in Monte-Carlo, from July 6 to 10.
The event will feature an exclusive selection of Important Watches, Jewellery, Hermès & Luxury Bags. In addition, this year the Automobilia department will be auctioning the legendary Stars’N’Bars memorabilia collection.
